She graduated from Eastern Virginia Medical School and pursued her residency at the VCU School of Medicine. She has served on the Virginia College of Emergency Physicians Board and the Richmond Academy of Medicine Board, was appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Board for Emergency Medical Services by both Governors Allen and Gilmore, and currently serves as medical director of EMS for multiple Fire and EMS agencies.

Since 2018 from junior membership to leadership roles, I've witnessed our squad's profound impact on the community. As a full-time Emergency Room Nurse, I'm deeply passionate about providing care in more ways than one. Outside of work life, I find solace in nature, cherishing moments outdoors to recharge. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead our dedicated team. We're committed to serving and supporting our community in times of need.

PresidentVivian JohnsVivian graduated from VCU with a B.S. in Biology and Psychology in 2025. Along with her role as president, she serves as the junior advisor and public relations chair for the agency. She works with adolescents at a neuroscience lab as a research assistant and phlebotomist, and is passionate about the pediatric demographic. Aside from work, she loves to dance, crochet, and watercolor paint.

Vice-PresidentDawn HeltonDawn has been involved in EMS for much of her life, and has supported the squad from community events to complicated calls. She is behind every fun, engaging event from Bensley and pours everything into our members. She enjoys contributing to our local community and uplifts our rescue station whenever possible. When she is not helping out at the squad, she is spending time with her family, crocheting, cooking, and shopping!

Board Member-at-LargePrabhat AdusumalliPrabhat graduated with a B.S. in Physics from VCU in 2023. As a Board Member and Training Officer, he directs the training and continuing education of clinical providers, promoting the best possible care for our patients. In addition to his service here, he also works as an AEMT at Richmond Ambulance Authority and is a second-year medical student at VCU. In his free time, he enjoys cooking and trying new restaurants across Richmond.

Board Member-at-LargeNikhil ChandravelNikhil earned a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry and a B.A. in Philosophy in 2023 from VCU. He fields general membership concerns as a Board Member at Large. Outside of his service here, he is currently attending medical school, and in his free time, he enjoys visiting the river, painting, and eating sweet potato waffle fries.

He is the founder of the non-profit Gopher Ministries Inc, serving on multiple boards of directors, and advisory positions. He is a licensed and ordained Pastor through Harvest Family Network. Benjamin has a deep passion for giving back and is committed to making a lasting impact in his community through service, special events, public safety, instructing classes, and inspiring leadership. In his free time, you'll most likely find him on the range or on the water, recharging while enjoying the pool or ocean.
