We were out at the fairgrounds staffing Medical Tents for the fireworks and concert at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds. Forest View Volunteer Rescue Squad was staffing their offroad UTV with Chesterfield Fire and EMS station 15 running the incident command! Happy Independence Day 🎇 Rescue College was hosted in Blacksburg and our chief Christina attended from June 9-16, pictured here along with Vice President of Forest View Rescue Squad, Alyssa Hepworth Our lovely crew of Rachel, Michael, and Victoria joined many other squads in wishing the kids of VCU's Children's Tower goodnight with their lights and sirens!
This Halloween we had an incredible Trunk or Treat event for so many kids in the neighborhood! Families stopped by to grab candy, take a look inside the ambulances, and play games. Bensley is thankful for the opportunity to serve in such a supportive, engaging community.
Multiple members are moving on to bigger things and furthering their healthcare careers, many of who recently graduated as well. Congratulations to you all, the squad thanks you for your service and you will always be a part of Bensley! The squad had a blast at Game Night on June 1st, hosted by the Auxiliary in honor of National EMS week. It was a wonderful opportunity for members of the rescue squad to spend time with members of the BBVRS Auxiliary, and everyone had a phenomenal time competing, racing, and cheering each other on. Our auxiliary members ran the event, brimming with plenty of food, handmade games, and fun prizes!
“It was so much fun to get to see the auxiliary. So grateful for them putting this event together for the squad.” -Sanika Pingulkar Three amazing games were featured during the night: A wheel of fortune game with a phrase board and our very own stand-in Vanna White, a racing car game with luck and rivalry, and lastly, Yahtzee. All games involved exciting prizes including gift cards, raffle awards, and even raceway tickets! Overall the event made for an incredible, fun-filled night. The 2nd Annual First Responders Night took place on May 20th, hosted by the Richmond Kickers Pro Soccer Club. Bensley Bermuda made an appearance and was represented by members Nikhil Chandravel, Surya Gara, Kalana Hair, and Victoria Borshch. All first responders were recognized during half-time, along with Richmond Ambulance Authority, Hanover Fire, Richmond Police, Richmond Fire, and Chesterfield Fire. The RVA community had the opportunity to tour our ambulances and check out where all our equipment was located. They were able to watch a live CPR demonstration on Manny the dummy and learned about our LUCAS device. Kids were given the chance to try out the lights and sirens on the ambulance and had a great time observing EMS in action. |
