We were so grateful to have our ambulance helping lead the Walk for Peace yesterday. Standing as medical support to monks and spectators alike, we had the opportunity to help escort the monks through our primary coverage area, Chesterfield County. Our squad hosted the traveling group at our station, and were beyond thankful to be a part of the team, accompanying them across the county. We recognize their admirable strength and persistence, through storms and ice, taking their resilience as inspiration for our agency.

Every mission needs the right equipment, whether here in Chester, or on the streets of Kyiv, Ukraine. BBVRS was privileged with the opportunity to equip Ukrainian EMS providers to serve their communities. Our donation included 15 basket, scoop, and ambulance stretchers, 50 traction and board splints, and 40 extrication devices, which were transported to Baltimore for shipment by Sterling Rescue Squad. This is just the latest in a series of donations being coordinated by the Virginia Association of First Responders (VAFRS). Executive Director, Bubby Bish states "This was a great opportunity for partnership between Bensley Bermuda and Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squads to get something amazing done. These are the kind of relationships that the Virginia Association of First Responders seeks to foster." Oceans apart, the EMS community stands together. Here are some of our new recruits running practice scenarios and practicing lifting and moving techniques! Thank you to all who came out to our Halloween event! Thank you to Chippenham Hospital for inviting us out to the fall safety event at Swift Creek ER! While we were there, our crew got to take a closer look at Virginia state police med flight and CFEMS fire and life safety program! Bingo weeks at the Chesterfield County Fair! We appreciate everyone who supports our squad by showing up and playing! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate National Night Out! Thank you to the Richmond Kickers for hosting such a great First Responder's Night! |
